Prerequisites for Debug Analyzer

.NET Framework 4.0 Client Profile
(If you have Visual Studio 2010 installed, you already have all the pre-requisites)

Supported Versions of CLR

Current version of Debug Analyzer.NET supports only .NET 2.0 (and 3.x) memory dumps.
Support for .NET 4.0 and Silverlight coming soon...! (There are no plans to support CLR 1.x)

How to update Application when new versions are released?

You can use "Check for Updates" option from Help menu.
For more information please see the article titled "Application Updates" under Features on the right.

Is the source code for Analysis Plug available to learn from?

Analysis source code coming soon on CodePlex for your learning pleasure!
Till then, check the snippets folder for Analysis snippets for easy learning. Load and use them through Instant Analyzer feature.

Known Issues

• Error with HRESULT:0x80131515
  Files downloaded from internet are blocked by default on windows for safety.
  Workaround is to download the zip file, Goto File properties and Unblock the file protection and then Extract the content.
• Please make sure correct version of mscordacwks is available in symbols folder for Analysis to work.
  This is the same requirement for using sos/psscor debugger extensions as well. Doug Stewart has more information on his blog here
  For troubleshooting mscordacwks loading issues, you can use Interactive Debugging interface.
• Restart the application after fixing the above error. Bug fix for this is in the works.
